New Voices First Novel Competition is designed to encourage and support writers who are just starting out. We are offering a start-up package to the most promising synopsis and first page.

2020. Last year’s winner was Kathryn Ensall with The Body Con, her coming of age novel set in the Pennines. In 2019, the winner was Gibril Kerefah with his West African inspired fantasy ‘PurpleBlack.’ In 2018, the winner was Tim Cooke, with his literary novel ‘The Town’. 2017. Our very first winner was Jacqui Seddon, with her YA novel ‘Worthless Little Punks.’  

An excellent opportunity to kick start your novel and gain some valuable input and support.
