Thank you for your initial support of my application for funding, and for
all your very thorough and practical input and guidance over the
course of the year.

Apprenticeships in Fiction
ARTS COUNCIL ENGLAND

FUNDING

The high calibre of the programme (and the writers) means that apprentices are increasingly able to attract financial support. In the first three years, four writers secured funding.

In 2009 Ruth Dugdall was awarded a grant from Arts Council England - and Noreen Rees was supported by the SY Killingley Memorial Trust and the Rotary Club of Monkseaton Centenary. In 2008 Jo Reed obtained a grant from the Oppenheimer John-Downes Memorial Trust and Wendy Storer received funding from her local rotary club.

Previous apprentices have been funded by ACE or smaller local companies who make charitable donations. To find out about possibilities in your area go to www.guidestar.org.uk.
