Adventures in Fiction

Professional Development for writers

Welcome to Adventures in Fiction. If you are looking for honest and constructive advice you’ve come to the right place. We respect your vision—our job is to help you realize it.

Founded in 2003, we have a firmly established reputation for integrity and innovation. We know what it’s like to pull a narrative out of the air and treat the writers who come to us with empathy and care. We have a high success rate because of our exclusive focus on fiction, the high calibre of our mentors and our in-depth knowledge of the publishing industry.

We offer four core services—the Apprenticeships scheme, manuscript appraisal, mentoring and Writer’s Surgery. We also run two competitions a year.

“…to have a chance to work with published authors of this calibre, and with this level of input, is a priceless step in the right direction towards publication.” Laura Longrigg
